East Coast Jam - Spring 2009

tumble.png

The Spring, 2009 East Coast Jam took place from Wednesday Evening, April 15 through Sunday Afternoon, April 19 2009 at Claymont Court Estates, West Virginia, around one and a half hours car ride from the center of Washington, DC.

  • Official kickoff the first night - wednesday - is 6:30 PM dinner
  • Jammers can begin arriving as early as 5:00 - contact us if you need to arrive earlier

See the main East Coast Jam Page to hear about the jams, in general.

  • The cost depends on how long you plan to attend and how late you register.

  • A bed in a shared room and delicious meals are included in the charges.

(Blankets and pillow are included; sheets and towels are available for a small laundry fee, like $5 to $10 total.)

The baseline for on-time registration, before March 25, depends on how many days you attend - all attendance is expected to go through sunday.

Cost Number of Days
$305 4 days (full time)
$260 3 days
$195 2 days

The total cost depends on when you arrive during the day (factoring in the cost of the meals you'll have), and registration premiums by date - the sooner you register, the lower the cost. The online registration system puts all the factors together. Registration deadline premium offsets, for the full-time attendance price:

Increase Online Payment or Check Postmark Dates Adjusted cost for full attendance
$0 Before March 25 $305 (on-time registration)
+$50 March 25 until April 6 $355
+$75 April 7 until jam beginning (April 15) $380 (avoid this option, don't delay!)

DEPOSIT = $50 - but paying in full in advance helps. The balance is due on arrival.

Workstudy: available, if we hear from you EARLY! Work study closes 2 weeks before the jam. Contact Gary (413 268-2626, garykuntz@comcast.net) for workstudy details.

To REGISTER

Please register online, NOTE:

Online registration is new, and Credit Card payment is an included option! Some of the payment nuances are not reflected in the registration system's online payment caculation. Keep in mind that you can always pay the deposit ($50), and look above for relevant full-payment details. Contact Gary (see below) if you need help clarifying.

Alternately (or if you encounter problems with the online registration system), you can pay by check, by sending it to the Spring jam registrar:

Gary Kuntz
PO Box 491
Williamsburg, MA 01096

If sending a check, please still try to register online, and indicate clearly on the check the registration name(s) the check is for, so we can connect the payment with the registration(s).

(Registration includes indicating when you will be arriving so that we can give accurate meal count numbers to the hard-working Claymont staff.)

See Jam Transportation and Jam Rides Coordination for transportation stuff.
